Last modified: March 22, 2010How to Register
In the Admin section on the right column of the page you will find the Register link.
You can register as a contributer to the blog by clicking this link. You have to chose a username and a password. After submitting the data you can enter the site as a user.
Known problems:
Users of Internet Explorer have to allow cookies in their browser. If cookies are blokked you cannot register or log in.
How to post a message
Only registered users can post a message. After logging in you will enter the Dashboard page. On this page to the left you will see the Posts link. Click and than click Add New.
You will find a full rich text editor at your convenience to write your post. You can include pictures, video and audio.
It is important to add a category to your post. You can send me suggestions for categories and I will add them.
At the bottom of the editor page you can set options for comments on/off. Normally comments is on.
How to post a private message
It is possible to add information to the platform that is visible for certain users only. These users need to be registered users that have the role of author assigned. The administrator can assign the role of author to any registered user. But this user has to send a request to do so. The administrator will judge the request to avoid abuse.
When publishing a post that should have private visibility only, remember to check the appropriate checkbox in the Publish box.
Click Edit next to Visibility (see picture 1).
The Private radio button becomes visible. Activate it and click OK (see picture 2).
Only registered users that have author privileges can post private messages.
Normal registered users have automatically the role of contributer. This means that they can read, write and comment on posts. The administrator will check the registered users on a regular basis. Those not connected to a RCE will be removed if the administrator finds this necessary to avoid abuse.
