Access to private information

It is possible to add information to the platform that is visible for certain users only. These users need to be registered users that have the role of author assigned. The administrator can assign the role of author to any registered user. But this user has to send a request to do so. The administrator will judge the request to avoid abuse.

When publishing a post that should have private visibility only, remember to check the appropriate checkbox in the Publish box.

Click Edit next to Visibility (see picture 1).

The Private radio button becomes visible. Activate it and click OK (see picture 2).

Only registered users that have author privileges can post private messages.

Normally registered users automatically get the role of contributer. This means that they can read, write and comment on posts. The administrator will check the registered users on a regular basis. Those not connected to a RCE will be removed if the administrator finds this necessary to avoid abuse.
Registered users that want to read and post private messages (strictly for the RCE community only) need to request an upgrade to the role of author by sending a message to the administrator.

international meeting and EU RCE responses

Thank you (young) Jos for setting up this blog.
In RCE North East we have a number of themes which we are currently exploring – and with forthcoming meetings we will prioritise these for the Curitiba meeting.
I hope that the snow clears soon for you.
Best wishes, Aidan

Blog now available

This blog is created for the European RCE community. It can be used freely. For now all the posts are open to the public. It is possible to password protect posts, but we have to decide that this is necessary.

For now let’s try it.
