It is possible to add information to the platform that is visible for certain users only. These users need to be registered users that have the role of author assigned. The administrator can assign the role of author to any registered user. But this user has to send a request to do so. The administrator will judge the request to avoid abuse.

When publishing a post that should have private visibility only, remember to check the appropriate checkbox in the Publish box.

Click Edit next to Visibility (see picture 1).

The Private radio button becomes visible. Activate it and click OK (see picture 2).

Only registered users that have author privileges can post private messages.

Normally registered users automatically get the role of contributer. This means that they can read, write and comment on posts. The administrator will check the registered users on a regular basis. Those not connected to a RCE will be removed if the administrator finds this necessary to avoid abuse.
Registered users that want to read and post private messages (strictly for the RCE community only) need to request an upgrade to the role of author by sending a message to the administrator.

The 3-Lensus project provides a database for best practise projects on ESD in Europe. RCEs are invited to upload project information and share.

Dear RCE colleagues
Those present at the Annual Meeting in Graz, last December, will remember that RCE’s are constantly on the lookout to create forms off collaboration and communication to support the work of the individual RCEs. The following information is relevant for those RCEs who want to take up information exchange, to start on a European level.
RCE Rhine-Meuse (and RCE Graz-Styria) are involved in a EU funded project called 3-Lensus (Lifelong Learning Network for Sustainable Development). The 3-Lensus project is creating a database to collect and share innovative projects promoting Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) in Europe. The database will establish a definitive and open source of information about European ESD projects that can be accessed by any participant. By contributing your projects to the database you will help to provide a virtual library of ESD information. Information providing knowledge on past and ongoing experiences of research activities and actual delivery of ESD in a variety of formats and settings. You and other ESD practitioners will directly benefit by being able to search for and exchange ideas that build on good practice.
The projects included in this database focus on the following aspects: multiple stakeholder orientation (a university/research institution + at least one other regional actor involved); regional sustainable development; lifelong learning.
An e-learning or blended learning component is regarded as an additional value.

The 3-Lensus project focusses on the key issue of the “knowledge triangle” of education, research and innovation, for regional sustainable development. Projects for ESD thus comprise all levels of lifelong learning, addressing both projects in formal learning such as educational activities at school, but also projects on sustainable regional development focusing on non-formal and informal learning as well as knowledge-creation among participants.
You want to add your project?
You implemented a project on sustainable development which you want to make accessible to interested people? Then you can do this right here! Please register (for free) at www.leuphana.de/3lensus/moodle/login/index.php. As a registered user, you have access to an additional form in the database where you can enter your project information. Every new project will be approved by the editing team. For more information, see the FAQ.
You want to view projects?
You can view/search projects by going to the projects database. You can access the project database www.leuphana.de/3lensus/moodle/mod/data/view.php?id=18.
For more information on the 3-Lensus project, its aims and contents, check the project website at www.3-lensus.eu.
